Elon Musk's brilliant advice to the youths :- The Ultimate Guidance.
Elon musk is a role model of millions. He is the real-life version of iron man and is the sort of billionaire every youth aspires to become. To put that man into words, he is the world's richest man as well as one of the most influential people on this planet. He is the founder and owner of Tesla - world's best Electric Vehicle producing company, SpaceX - Elon's self-owned space research company which competes even with NASA, Neuralink, SolarCity, PayPal, Open AI, Hyperloop and so on. He is that cool guy with big head, great personality and a techy innovative background. On twitter, his one tweet could shake up the entire stock market!
Musk was asked in a wide-ranging episode of the "Lex Fridman Podcast" about what advice he would give to young people in high school or college who want to have a positive impact on the world.
What advices he gave on that podcast will be the central theme of discussion of this blog. The pin-point ultimate advices he gave on that podcast deeply reflects his marvallous thought process and extremely critical intellect.
The first tip Musk gave was that people should "try to be useful."
When I first read this 4 words advice, I was stupified from my very backbone. The level of simplicity it contains and yet the level of meaning it conveys is just beyond words.
"Do things that are useful to your fellow human beings, to the world," the billionaire told Fridman. "It's hard to be useful — very hard."
If someone is living a useful life, it's a "life worth having lived," Musk said.
This, right here, is the ultimate motivation, ultimate philosophy and essence of society and economics defined in 4 words - try to be useful.
The second piece of advice he mentioned in the podcast was that someone should contribute more than they consume.
"Try to have a positive net contribution to society," he told Fridman. "That's something to aim for."
Musk said on the podcast that he has "a lot of respect for someone who puts in an honest day's work."
Again, this advice clearly suggests the attitude of Elon. Welfare of humanity at large seems to be the only goal of Elon. Don't you see? This man has two hundred billion dollars, still he spends most of its part in SpaceX, researching on Mars, which results in no direct monetory profit at all. On one ocassion he said that his biggest goal, passion is to make humans interplanetary species and colonise mars!
Another couple of advices he gave was on how to develop individually and be productive.
He replied that one should read books as much as possible. "I would encourage people to read a lot of books," he said. "Try to ingest as much information as you can, and try to also develop a good general knowledge so you at least have a rough lay of the land of the knowledge landscape."
The second part of his answer was to talk to as many people as possible. "Talk to people from different walks of life and different industries and professions and skills," he told Fridman. "Learn as much as possible."
So this, dear friends, is Elon Musk for you. This, is his proficient character. This, is the depth of his thinking.
What message we got from this blog? We got a roadmap of self-improvement. We got some tips on a better individual and social life from the most integrated, entrepreneurial, techno- savical, sustainablity focused and practical man on earth.
I wish if I had Elon's practicality and guts to pull off such amazing feets he has achieved till now. Godspeed to his selfless actions. May we too be the good of him.
Thanks,
Daksh Parekh.
