Infinite Intellects : Swami Vivekananda
Hey Guys, Welcome to our new series "Infinite Intellects" and here I present you its Episode 1 starring the Legendary Saint Swami Vivekananda himself.
The Boy, who told even his teacher too, that as darkness is the absence of Light and as cold is absence of heat; so is Ignorance the absence of knowledge, and so is evil the absence of good.
The man, whose influence on Youth was so tremendous at that time, that even his Guruji handled his position to him after his death.
Swami Vivekananda is a dream character of every person that has EVER aimed to make the world better. Thus, here I will present you his top 3 works which I really loved.
1. Preaching Ancient Vedic Philosophy.
His life goal, only aim to achieve, was to make people aware about their true self and to help them walk in life's uncharted terrain. From his childhood itself, he had a great influence on Vedic Culture. By seeing how Britishers Education and Western Philosophy, he was afraid how terribly the youth of India were treated. According to him, a child must follow Gurukul System were he learns morals, advanced and creative perception. He knew the greatness of Indian Philosophy and he was really afraid how it is endangered nowadays. He believed in the search of Atman, the true self.
His efforts shone out when he got a chance to represent Vedic Walks of Life at religious meet at Chicago 1893. His very first words of the speech, hit America. We can judge his character just by knowing his first words of the 1893 Chicago Speech - "Sisters and Brothers Of America.." - made the whole crowd clapping!
2. Service to Human is Service to God.
How? Are we all servants of eachother? Know what Swamiji Believed.
"Service to Human is Service to God. Try once, talk a beggar of Vedas and Upanishads once. See what he gets from it. How come a beggar think of God if even his stomach is not full? How come a frustrated House Holder think of God if even his pocket is not full. Service to Human is Service to God. First serve them their basic needs. Make them realise that Materialistic Plesures are temporary and are of no use. Serve them Plesures, and they'll automatically realise their true hunger! Not the hunger of Food, Fame or Money. The Hunger for Knowledge. Let them think beyond Ego and Money by providing them the same."
This is so correct. At the end of the Day, a child learns only when an example is served before him, and NOT when you give advice to them or teach them verbally!
