Occult India: Surya Sadhana (Ep01)
Hello Guys,
This is my series 'Occult India'.
Occult means supernatural or beyond science.
In the series Occult India I will talk about some of the places, rituals, festivals etc of India which are really really advanced. For example the way how Indian Temples are geometrically designed, the rituals and their occult sciences and so.
In this First Episode of Occult India, we will discuss about India's very basic Yogic Practice i.e Surya Sadhana. Apart from Vedic Mantra Chanting, Surya Sadhana includes Surya Namaskar and Surya Vandana. It's main practices are the sets of 12 Yogic Asanas and pouring water at the sun. Thus, in this blog, we will discuss scientific significance of the whole Surya Sadhana.
1. Surya Namaskar
We all know its benefits on body.
Surya Namaskar is done early morning. To be specific, it is usually done 45 minutes before sunrise in Bramha muhurta.
We get Vitamin D doing it plus our body gets totally stretched and strong doing it. Yogis of India start doing it from 3 AM till 7 AM and some of them do atleast 4008 Surya Namaskar daily. Surya Namaskar was a default practice Yogis, Soldiers and even Gurukul Students at that time!
2. Surya Vandana ( Surya Arghya )
This practice includes standing towards the sun and pouring water at it.
Science behind this?
Water refracts light. Light when refracted gets split into 7 colours of nature. When that split light refracts, it touches our naked chest, stomach and head. Specific fraction of light when touched to specific body parts affects it drastically.
In fact, our ancestors were so smart that they even depicted The Sun God Vivasvana with Seven Horses! Yes, the seven horses are for seven colours of light!
They also meant to say that Sun God is constantly traveling with the highest speed, all the time. That is why they depicted the sun god on a chariot with 7 freaking horses!
A God, always sitting on a chariot, with SEVEN horses all the time? That signifies the concept of Light. That is its ALWAYS traveling and is traveling with the highest possible speed.
Another Fun Fact. There is a Temple in India where The Sun God is carved with 9 People bowing him. What so?
This means that the sun, with all 9 planets including Pluto, bows down to sun god for all the energy as The Sun is the source of all energy on its planets! Amazing isn't it?
I have many many such temples and it's mind boggling facts.
