Should the Price Of Girnar Ropeway be Lesser?

Hey Guys!
You all know that just recently on 24 October the Girnar Ropeway Construction was completed and handed over to citizens.  The price of one way ticket is 400 INR and two way ticket is 700 INR. The basic information about the Girnar Ropeway is that Girnar ropeway is on Mount Girnar in Junagadh district, Gujarat, India. It is Asia's longest ropeway. First proposed in 1983, the construction started only in September 2018 due to government approval delays and litigation. The construction and operation is managed by Usha Breco Limited.

Now. People are NOT satisfied with the Ropeway prices saying that "we cannot afford such high prices, we are devoted of Maa Amba and want to visit the Girnar Temples but the prices are so high".

The first thing I want to say about their argument is that Government has made a ropeway facility despite the fact that with ropeway facility, people will rush into them and more people equals more garbage!
Girnar Hills are so Divine and Magnificent. If you cannot climb it at certain age then government provided you even ropeway facility. Now you're saying prices are high!
I climbed Mt Girnar just 2 months ago when ropeway facility was not available. I saw the damn garbage with my own eyes!
How plastic bottles, Pan Masala wrappers and even spots all around destroying the nature! No wonder that garbage was JUST of people 'climbing' only. Think how much garbage and wastage we humans will make if ropeways are used. Mt Girnar will lose its divinity.
Then also Government made ropeways for us respecting our argument that devotees cannot climb. Now they're protesting for lower prices.

1. You cannot climb. It's okay. You got ropeways. We are risking the Mountain's cleanliness and divinity of nature just for you all.

2. Now you say you want lower prices.  If you are true devotees and you must climb the mountain, still you got ropeway. If you're really a true devotee, then afford the price!
Leave the Devotion towards God. Just think how horrendous the Girnar Mountain's cleanliness will become if everyone gets access to it in even lower price. I have also visited Pavagadh Mountain. I know how much garbage there is. Just be the devotees of Nature first.
My Conclusion is that Ropeway Facility too was just an option. We don't know how clean our Girnar will be after 5 years. We already risked that. Still we are protesting for lower prices! Does that make sense?
There must be a barrier, which still can protect Girnar's Divine aura and Nature from Our Cruelty and Ignorance. I am against lowering the ticket prices. Girnar Mountain is a spiritual place of peace, cleanliness where we should feel we are one step closer to nature. But. Do you that this will be the reality in next 5 years? I'm afraid Girnar will just end up being a picnic spot with tonnes of Garbage and Wastage everywhere!

  1. More people means more garbage. Yes, that's true. But price can't be correlate with this truth only. It's totally a different debate.

I agree with your view that ropeway is just an option for handicapped or elder people. If you are capable of climbing the mountain, you must do it not only as a devotee but also as a true nature lover.
